ECSRA's Mission Statement
Our mission is:
- the preservation of the architectural integrity of the square
- easing traffic and parking problems
- the enhancement of residential amenities
- providing social events for residents of the square
The Committee and its activities
There is an Executive Committee of up to ten people, half of whom retire each year. We also have a group of willing volunteers who help with the Newsletter (published three times a year) and social events - see below. If you would like to join the Executive Committee or help in anyway, please email [email protected].
We view all planning and licensing applications pertaining to the Square and support or oppose as appropriate. We also work with the Waste Department concerning the rubbish which is habitually dumped on the pavements.
Three Newsletters are published each year and various events are held.

Earl’s Court Square Conservation Area
Earl's Court Square was granted full Conservation Area status by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in 1975. One of the conditions is that the front elevation of those properties with painted stucco work must be painted in Magnolia BS4800 08B15.
The majority of properties which have porches have a painted house number on one of the columns. Initially, this was carried out by the Earl’s Court Square Residents’ Association. Some of the numbers have been painted over when redecoration work has been done and owners are encouraged to paint them back. The font is Garmond, with the figures painted in black, 7" in height
